Peaceful and serene

A PLACE TO RELECT AND FIND YOUR INNER SELF.

Serinity Prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace...  St. Francis of Assisi

A walk in the woods

The peaceful woods will have an immediate impact on you. It's an opportunity to think, reflect, and consider your priorities. Nature is soothing and a good reminder about what is important in our lives. You will catch deer prancing away as if annoyed by your invasion. Morning is the best time to walk as you will be mesmorized by the early sunlight piercing through the massive and ancient trees along your path.

Spring creek

As you walk along the trails, the babbling creek and beautiful waterfalls provide the best company!

Ferns

Native ferns find a way to survive during the long dry summer months. They burst to life and multiply prolifically when the rain arrives in the fall and winter.

The sights and sounds

The sound of water passing through the rocks gives you a sense of peace and tranquility

A break

When the woods open up to a clearing, the tremendous oak trees are a pleasant surprise!

Take the time

If you take the time to look, you will discover the simple beauty of nature. No one planted these flowers in these "rocks", but somehow they manage to thrive and flourish, and come back year after year.

Better leave these alone

In early spring, if your timing is right, and you know where and how to look, edible goodies can be found. Better get some training though, to be safe. Remember, when in doubt, leave it out.

“I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”William Wordsworth,   I Wander'd Lonely as a Cloud
