STEELHEAD CREEK VINEYARDS
fun

Just for fun

BUILDING MEMORIES.

The barn cupola has a whimsical weathervane to remind us that life is too short for "bad" wine. We are in the wine country after all; and we do celebrate often. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?  Cheers!

Bird houses on end posts

Western Bluebirds love this area, especially the vineyard! They make their permanent home here. Other birds abound, including a large population of red tailed hawks, Coopers hawks, horned owls, ravens, wrens, finches, robins, wood peckers, native califonia quails, wild turkeys, and many others. Relax and settle in for a private viewing; may it be an acrobatic challenge between a hawk and crows, hummingbirds inches away, or mysterious owls hooting in the evening !

Bluebirds

The female Bluebirds are more subdued in color while the males carry a spectacular blue! They watch intently while perching on the vines and feed on insects in the vineyard rows

Organic eggs for breakfast!

Chickens enjoy the spectacular weather in Sonoma County with year-round eggs. Their "announcements" (special clucks when they lay an egg) are especially fun to hear!

A haven for favorite pets

There are 5 cats (who keep the field mice away), 2 dogs (who keep the coyotes away), 2 horses (who help keep the vineyard organic), 13 hens and a rooster (who provide plenty of great eggs) on the property. They are pretty sure this place is right next to Heaven!

Garden blueberries are best!

Multiple fruit trees and plants, like blueberries, make it easy to enjoy healthful, organic treats just outside the door!

Early friendship

Animals are uncomplicated and simple. Relationships and bonds are pure magic. Reach out and touch a loved one!

“I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”William Wordsworth,   I Wander'd Lonely as a Cloud
